A pack of snowmobilers just went down the trail, probably did a pretty good job of grooming it ahead of me.

Beats sitting here feeling sorry for myself, which I am doing a good job of.

3. Better wear something reflective--in case the snow mobiles come back...

I used to do that on golf courses late at night--with the added advantage that they usually had some lights.

Enjoy. Me, I might get up early to use my nordic track, but I'll wait to daylight to do my outdoor fitness walk... I like to see the wildlife before they see me (usually just coyotes, but close enough that a mountain lion is not out of question)...
