A friend of mine was cleaning his house and he decided to have a yard sale. So I went to to it this morning, and for five whole dollars, I just bought a couple of boxes worth of books.
In total, I just got thirty books. They are all "A Cambridge History Of" books. I love history, so I'm in heaven. Thirty different books on history is going to be quite some reading and will take me several weeks to read through them all. The first book I will be reading is "A Cambridge History Of The Bible".
To top it off, he initially wanted to sell them for two dollars a piece, but because of our friendship, he lowered the price for me to five dollars.
I'm in heaven! I'm in heaven!
That's one of the biggest reasons I like going to yard sales, is you never know what treasures you will find.
I feel like doing an Irish jig in celebration!

Wanting to simplify their lives, they took all their non-essential books
and music to a GREAT local independent bookstore and sold them for
store credit.
.
On their way out of town, they stopped by my place and gave me
one of the nicest gifts I've ever gotten in my life:

A store-credit voucher for over $400 worth of merchandise.

I still have about $25 on it that I keep forgetting about now.
