I had to look it up. GNU S I've heard of. Once. SAS, a couple of times.

So one must bow to your Nerdliness.

But. It does not follow from that that you are a "giant nerd". What causes you to leap from the realm of the merely nerdly into that of Giants? Did you climb a beanstalk? Are you a very, very large person?

Inquiring minds want to know.

A minor, nitpicking point; so, please indulge me for a moment.

I think it is "nerdly", with an "L". Like manly, or womanly, or sickly, and so on. Thus, nerdly and, thus, nerdliness.

That said, nerdy, and nerdiness, works for me. I think folks should get to define what they are, and what term(s) define them. As long as they don't try to change, or redefine, themselves too often. It makes it tough for the rest of us well-meaning, but essentially out of it, folks.

Anyway, best of luck with the course. I have no doubt that you will ace it.
