Some in north burbs little in the south. Was 48F yesterday and today 28F. Tomorrow will be like 9F and likely too cold for snow.

I think it snows more in Jacksonville FL nowadays.

... water-sprayed snow. It had snow benches and snow shelves and was our refuge from
the stressful world of grownups. I used to snitch snacks to keep out there -- found out
much later that MiddleFingerMomMom was leaving them out to be "stolen" for the igloo).
,
I remember climbing up and standing atop my own little Mt Everest -- about a 20-foot
mound of snowplowed snow "downtown" (this was a tiny tiny village). I saw the photo
about 5 years ago. That photo must have been damaged by heat shrinkage as my
adventurer's pose was on a mound about 5 or 6 feet high.
.
About the only thing disappointing about living in Tucson is the absence of a harsh winter.
I miss the crispness in the air, the crunch of snow underfoot during a hike where somewhere
we could stop and build a little fire and roast hot dogs -- maybe marshmallows -- and
drink hot chocolate out of a Thermos (maybe gluhwein now).
.
I tend to forget the gray nasty slush and the frozen tootsies and such -- those are
temporary and doable for the bounties that winter CAN have. When I could drive, I
used to take my car or motorcycle up Mt Lemmon early in the season (seemingly ALWAYS
forgetting my gloves as it would be 70 degrees at the base -- I'd ride most of the way
with one hand on a handlebar grip and the other between my legs, and worrying about
frostbite the whole way).
.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
.
So to speak.
.
One cool part -- at one point there was a STEEP hill right beside the road and I would
always see a bunch of cars with Mexican license plates. Adults AND children would be
having a blast and I always imagined that they had taken a day trip or a weekend and
were almost all experiencing snow for the first time.
.
Their excitement was very cool... and very contagious.

I am just 2 weeks shy of my 57th birthday and I have yet to experience a winter without bitter cold. It's downright depressing.

more than January here in L.A. Going up to 80 again today. I'm not complaining! I think next week it will be rainy and in the 60s, more normal for this time of year.

Winter in Ohio is dreary and yucky. And right now it's 19 in southeastern Ohio. It's just plain ugly outside.
