If you have a smartphone with voice input capability, try this:

Activate the voice input and hold the phone up to your TV. It'll pick up the sound from the TV! Here's what I got from that dumbass LA Pierre's speech.

holding the phone to the radio, ... and having voice recognition figure out the song, and return the song title, artist and other information.

My friend's SII has as security feature where it recognizes your face in order to unlock the phone.

I won $20 by taking a picture of his face, and holding it up to his phone, and it unlocked. Not quite a perfected tech yet.
