You have to be more purposeful in finding your way around the new iTunes.

It is better, you just have to get used to it.

You might be better served in the 'Macintosh' room:

I had to reboot the PC, then it finally was able to recognize the devices.

and then lost all of the music I had purchased. I ended up with the stuff my kids had on their devices. I never could fix it. My niece says there's a way but all I see are the little exclamation points next to the songs.

We're only talking about a few songs so it's not a big deal but I'm with you. Why the constant fixing of stuff that then makes some things not work any more?

I'm much happier now.

I want iTunes to synch by iPod. Period. I don't want an "experience". I don't buy things from the Apple store, I don't listen at home to music from my computer or the internet. I don't need a Wizard or a Genius or recommendations or whatever else the damn thing keeps pushing.

It still does what it claims to do.

Looking at Windows 8, if Microsoft would have fixed it the Equalizer function would control your Single Action Army pistol, the Mixer function would be the speed control for your KitchenAid and clicking "Shuffle" would get you booked on a flight to Vegas.

I heard the new version was crap. But now it won't let me play my video podcasts so I guess they win.

It provides a fluid experience.

Then again, I own a MacBook Air, iPhone 4S and an iPad so I pretty much have an Apple product in my hand at any given moment.

However, I also have it on my Windows-based PC.
