Do you have a router between the modem and your computers? Duer 157099 Jan 2012 #4
Yeah, but using the settings in the router would be a better solution. HopeHoops Jan 2012 #5

Or on the internet.

I don't know specific ones to recommend but I did a quick search for "internet timers freeware" and found a lot of hits.

I also searched for "internet timers children" and one of the first that came up was Ez Internet Timer: "Ez Internet Timer helps you control, schedule and filter Internet activity on your or your children PC. It will automatically block Internet, e-mail, messengers and will keep them blocked for as long as you schedule it. Ez Internet Timer has password protection and allows to create multiple schedules. Great software to protect your kids by limiting Internet and e-mail usage. Ideal software for Internet cafe, libraries or small businesses.

There are links to more Parental Control programs down the page.

Again, I can't recommend any specific programs since I have no experience with them, but a program would be easier to do than a gadget.

If so, you can usually control such things in the router's software.

You can get the MAC address for each of their machines and assign hours of operation. That way you can still use the wireless net while they can't. What kind of router do you have?
