Ever have one of those days where you just didn't do anything right?

That's me. Today and for quite few months. But today especially; it seems that I cannot do anything right.

I'm always saying or doing the wrong thing at work, especially in email. I never copy the right people; my questions are vague and they don't seem to understand what I want. I procrastinate because I just can't face doing some things. There are so many piddling little details that I seem to forget (or don't know) that I find out too late. I'm nervous because I have a big presentation on Thursday. I'm not so worried about that as I am about the potential questions afterwards.

I took part of last Friday off because I had a pounding headache, so, after I did the one thing I was supposed to do, I left. I made sure it was okay with my actual boss (he works in another office) and my boss's boss (who works in my office- don't ask, it's kind of screwed up) was gone, so I figured it was okay. But, apparently, the thing I was supposed to do on Friday (and that I DID do) wasn't good enough, so there was a fire to put out today. I guess I'm not allowed to go home sick. I have not had a day off that wasn't a holiday or because of illness since September. Needless to say, I'm a little stressed and burnt out.

And then, THEN, I got home and couldn't get into my apartment. The exterminators had been here, and locked the lower lock (the one on the knob) and I couldn't get the door open to save my life. It took me, and I'm not kidding, 20 minutes. I'm going to call tomorrow because I think there might be something wrong with the lock, but still, I was out there in the 40 degree weather worried that I wasn't going to be able to get inside. So I had a meltdown. Then felt totally stupid, when it opened. Lately, I've been a mess, I don't mind saying, but today kind of took the cake.

I think I need a vacation, if only I had the time and money to take one.

I just fell flat on my face at the office. Accident report, ice pack, blah blah blah. And I'm on the Safety Committee.

Sleeping under my desk.

Or pretending to work.

But I accidentally get some things done while pretending to work.
