I loved that pop remix she did back around 2002 or 3 - what was that tune???

Not that many keep their voice.
Roy Orbison was another who had but then died suddenly in the end of the 80s, just when he was back on top.

Saw Roy a good number of times over the years, and he was always great, same voice.
And as he got older, people were more and more surprised he still had it.
