He's been running his foundation full time for about 5 years now. Age: 57.

(38,311 posts)Fortunately with our medical bills and student loans for our kids we are doing a pretty good job maintaining a negative net worth.
Despite my hatred of all things MS (I'm a graphic artist...) and my total devotion to Apple and Steve Jobs (go ahead, hate...), I've always respected Mr. Gates. He's got a good heart. I just hope this isn't a sign of illness. He just doesn't look healthy.

(6,261 posts)When those of us who've had boyish young looks all their lives start ageing, the process appears very sudden and rapid to everyone. *sigh*
At 60 everybody has the face they deserve...
Actually, he doesn't look that bad for his age. His skin colour isn't good here, but that could be the lighting.

(11,045 posts)The guy is beyond caring about his looks, if he ever did. I doubt Gates is at all sanguine about possible cancer after Steve Jobs' example: 13 months putting off surgery, exploring alternative medicine. Yikes.

(41,960 posts)We see him around now and then. They actually do some fairly normal stuff, though they might have staff I never see. His hair doesn't really look like that but I can see how the image would come out that way.
In fact, the photo makes him look far more rough than other news things I've seen of him recently.
