I'm sad to hear that, but that's quite a long run after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

RIP, Ms. Franklin. You'll always be Ann Romano to me.

One of the memories I have of ODAAT is the episode where her character turns 35. She was upset, because since the average life span for women was 70, that meant she was officially "middle-aged." Sad she didn't even make it to 70 herself.

I really enjoyed the show back in the day -- it was one of those groundbreaking Norman Lear productions that was the first to show a divorced woman with kids being on her own.

Ms. Franklin was also an accomplished musical theater actor, too, I believe.

One Day At A Time is, IMO, hands down the greatest TV theme song of all time! I remember when it was about to come on I would run in to the living room just to hear the song and sing along. We'll miss you, Bonnie!
