My only question is whether Uncle shuts down for one day, or for longer.

Good luck. Stay warm.

Little Sonia is fine, and not so little anymore. She has actually gotten Big Sonia to play. We found a toy that Big Sonia loves to play with. It's a stuffed goldfish that she wanders around the house in her mouth and squawking!! It's really cute!!

she HATED the adult cats we adopted, until MommaKitty brought us three teeny tiny kittens. Then Clarisse (bitch-cat) turned into an only mildly grumpy auntie. Kittehs are magic

Would love to see a photo of Big Sonia with a stuffed goldfish in her mouth. lol!

the snow is a hassle, but a neighbor has a tractor-plow big old machine that he uses to plow driveways, etc. so we usually aren't stuck.

The thing that worries me, though, is they're saying this will be 'wet, heavy' snow, meaning trees and power lines might come down.

However, we can retreat to our office if need be - the last three times our home has lost power, the office has been cool when necessary (the derecho last summer) or warm (October storms) ...

So, while it's not the most optimal situation, it's fine. Kitties are fine with extra food and water in the house...

Went to Giant this afternoon. The store was already full of panicked people stocking up for the coming Ice Age.

We normally get at least one snowfall in the winter that sticks, but this year winter has skipped over us. Though I am not giving up hope yet. We had a blizzard in 1993 on March 13.
