(2,173 posts)I had to cut a piece of Pergo flooring to match a really bad hack job someone did to avoid moving the refrigerator (I moved the fridge and finished the flooring). I would have just replaced the hacked piece but the idiot who put the floor in GLUED everything. Pergo snaps together like Lego and should not be glued. It has to float.
Anyway, I had to use a scroll saw to cut the pattern so I made a map by putting a sheet of poster board over the existing piece and using a pencil to make a map, much like you do with a penny. The piece I cut fit perfectly and it was short order to finish the rest of the area.
By the way, Pergo absolutely stinks when you cut it and even with a fresh blade it takes forever. Square cuts aren't so bad if you use a miter saw.

Then again, I went to kindergarten when they still served frosted lemon cookies and orange juice for snack every day.
