Amazing.... Upcoming movie, 'Liberace' actors...

Honestly, I knew that the Liberace figure looked familiar, but it wasn't until I read that this was Michael Douglas that I realized who it was. Matt Damon and Douglas look incredible for this film (and I, for one, am SO glad to see Douglas recovered and acting again).

1. It is a shame it is going directly to HBO

I know Mr. Douglas's star has faded a bit and maybe Matt Damon is not as big a star either but honestly you would think their movie would get a theatrical release.

Now, I wonder, I just wonder why this movie has become a "busted feature?"

2. I hadn't heard that, but I guess the big studios remain "chicken" about gay issues...

One might have thought that would change after Brokeback Mountain, but I gather it really hasn't?

I don't get HBO, sadly. But, I imagine it will end up on DVD or netflix. I'm just tickled that Michael Douglas is doing well enough to be acting again. After all the celebrity deaths of late, this is good news.

3. Plus it is the last film Steven Soderbergh is making

I will rent it when it becomes available. I never would have seen those two actors in those roles but I imagine they can pull it off.
