OK, it's all over for me, I guess

Home sick today. I went to check the mail. Just in case I wasn't feeling sick enough I got - for the very first time - a catalog of products for Indepenent Living. I might as well find an iceberg to float away on while there are still some left. (Not that i don't already own some of that stuff, but still...that was due to temporary injury!)

but I was expecting them. I can still remember when my parents started getting them - at about my age. "The Promise of Pinelawn" is the motto for our largest planting ground. Some promise! Thanks a bunch.

How about going to the credit union to withdraw a tidy sum and being asked by the nice teller what you are going to do with it? Try to resist the temptation to say I'm sending it to Nigeria as postage for my million dollar lottery winning.

These poor companies fishing for any tiny bite of a lead to sell a boomer something is annoying.
