and during the once I told them, "if any adult ever behaves around you as this man does on tv, RUN! he's likely a pedophile.

Now I realize Mr. Rogers isn't a pedophile, but any normal adult acting like that towards children likely is, imo. I liked Sesame Street and similar because the adults still spoke and acted mostly like adults, he didn't, imo.

He wasn't a pervert! Besides, he had a trolley. You have to love the trolley.

was a grade school teacher then principal that behaved exactly as Mr. Rogers did. Which of course if very astute of someone desiring the unwarranted trust of children.

We had one right here in my town who became a Sunday school teacher at our local mega church (well, for around here it qualifies - about the size of a supermarket). He's in jail now. I'm sure by now you've also heard of Sandusky from Penn State. Same basic deal. The sad thing is that they honestly don't seem to comprehend the damage they are doing to the children. Same thing with rape. The perpetrators spend a little time in jail, maybe just get a slap on the wrist, and the victims serve their time suffering for the rest of their lives.

He could see the world through young children's eyes and explain it to them in ways they could understand. I would often watch it with my daughter when she was a wee tyke. I hated that she went through the Barney phase but we could watch Mr. Rogers togather. I miss Mr. Rogers
