Rethinking David Bowie: Rock against Racism

Last edited Sat Mar 23, 2013, 10:21 AM - Edit history (1)

At the age of 66, Bowie has a No 1 CD in 34 countries, (No. 2) in the USA. Yes but here's a man who wore his heart on his sleeve when it counted. The Dropkick Murphys deserve their renown. Indeed. I can remember,1991, when push came to shove, even someone as apolitical as Bowie did not remain silent.

Under the God
One step over the red line
Ten steps into the crazy
(original lyrics)

Hamburg 1991
