Does everyone's transparency page say they have at least one person ignoring them?

Mine says someone is ignoring me, but but but, I don't think I ever had any conflict with anyone... There was one person who replied to one of my posts (not a confrontational post) in a rather passive-aggressive way, but that's about it. This shouldn't bother me at all, but it kinda does for some reason. Like what the hell, I'm a fairly nice guy and I'm not an asshole. Even people who don't like me usually like me. *cries*

people don't really know anyone here unless they have met in person so everyone is expecting the worst sometimes.

I hate the anonymity of the web but I guess its a protection from spammers and crooks.

11. I used to be until I learned that PPR members that had you on ignore

stay there - so it is cumulative/additive. I have half a dozen, which is weird - I tend to not be in conflict with anyone as far as I know. Must be from my various MIRT terms, I guess...

I have had two or three people ignoring me at once. I'm down to one, plus a second who is blocking any PMs from me. Which I find utterly hilarious, because I have only once ever sent someone a PM that was not in response to one they sent me. And, that was a question to someone in Cooking & Baking. Perhaps ignorers go away if they get the MIRT treatment?

I don't care either way if I'm being ignored, but I wish we there was still the "Ignored" notice when people on your ignore list post in a thread. I really don't care what they say, but not having that placeholder sometimes makes parts of a thread a tad nonsensical.

Never visited my own transparency page until I read this OP. Sometimes, it's better not to know!

I, on the other hand, have only one person on ignore -- someone who's particularly loose with the abuse. For the most part, I'd rather take the abuse and see all opinions.

Guess it's from my wicked & cynical days. I'm mellower now. I have one or 2 on ignore because I sensed an intellectual dishonesty and I just grew weary of it.

I know personally more men who really, really worry about being liked than women. I mean they want so bad to be approved of by everybody. It's kinda sweet. To a point. Depends on what you value I guess.

much I find it irritating - it makes the current post disappear too fast and I am really not interested in their stuff. So, don't take it personally. It is just their choice.

Another one had a photo in their sig line I found very disturbing, even though the person him/her self wasn't offensive.

And one who was nasty and abusive toward me on DU2, displaying what I took to be the beginning of stalker-ish behavior.

It doesn't take much for some people to "ignore" others. I was put on "ignore" when I posted a video of Obama's comedy speech at an event where he made some jokes about his performance in the 1st debate in 2012, and a video of SNL skit of that debate performance. Funny stuff. But not to some, apparently.

The only way not to get ignored is to contribute nothing to the political conversation.

It means you've said something that forced someone to consider uncomfortable thoughts. It means you questioned a reality they've become accustomed to. It means you've made them see the world in a different light -- and they refuse to. It means you've opened their eyes, when they want to keep them firmly closed.

I like hearing opposing viewpoints, and the only reason I'd ignore someone is if they start calling people foul names.
