Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsScam alert! I just got called by 978-440-2000 - automated, they claimed my "Visa Debit Card
was deactivated". I do have a Visa debit card, but it is connected to my bank; a check of my account showed all is fine. A Google search indicated this is a scam - various people are told that the call originates from a variety of banking and credit card companies. I reported it immediately - be careful!

(1,328 posts)but got an email yesterday supposedly from the post office where we get our mail. Stated that a delivery couldn't be made at 7:30 on Monday, never get our mail that early and wasn't expecting anything. Gave a tracking number but I did not try entering it as figured it was bogus. Contacted the P.O. and she confirmed a scam but might happen to someone else.
