She even does backflips! She chases her tail! My other cat sleeps on the sink, just in case someone will turn on the faucet so she can see the awesome power of the drain. She's even gone so far as to go in-between the shower liner and the curtain to see the water drip... When we take showers.
They both like being underneath blankets. They both love slapping each other in the face and biting each others necks. Then they turn into complete lesbians and start licking each other.
Are my cats weird? They seem weird...

(36,286 posts)this is the cat that started barking one night when she was looking for her buddy and the dog was at the kennel -
she was watching a moth fly around the ceiling with her mouth open. Every once in a while she'd make this soft high pitched cry. Maybe she was trying to lure the moth?

(12,272 posts)Bengal cat chattering at bird,
I don't know why they do it. Moths like light, but not cats. Cat gets a hold of a moth and it is all but over, after the torture part.

(12,272 posts)Now we are responsible for them. I believe we are much greater than any queen. Cats deserve the best of fates.

(15,807 posts)when they see birds outside. Especially if I'm holding one of them near a window and asking them if they see a bird.

(46,327 posts)I wad up a ball of "Klondike" bar wrappers, and toss it.
Charlotte runs and grabs it like a cat does, then brings it back to me.

(12,272 posts)Weird is a human term and can never apply to cats.

(23,973 posts)We have those little mousies with rattles in them, and when I throw them will run and chase them, pick them up, and bring them back and spit them out in my lap, then get ready to do it all over again, butts wiggling in anticipation.
It's funny when people are over, and the first thing they do is grab a mousie and drop it in the person's lap, waiting for them to throw it.

(10,039 posts)But she greets strangers at the door, let them pick her up and she'll lick his/her face.

(9,464 posts)And I have another who drops them into her dry cat food bowl, as if they were prey she'd brought home from the hunt.

All of my cats will fetch. One of them likes to drink water from the bathroom sink with water pouring over her head - look here:

(2,657 posts)He started the game of fetch. He brought one of my hair ties too me. I was busy doing something else and when I saw it I didn't understand what he wanted I just tossed it to get it out of my way and next thing I knew kitty runs after it picks it up and brings it back.

(1,555 posts)We do about 30 minutes a day of fetching games and he's very demanding about it. I adopted him nearly 2 years ago and his fetching play came out about 4 months after he became part of my family. He now fetches his mousy toys, Ratso - his stuffed rat toy, his toy sticks and anything else I'll toss his way - Christmas bows are a favorite! Occasionally he will fetch our doggie's rawhide chewies or at least drag them around causing the Kellie to lose her mind - the whole thing is hilarious.
All kitties have unique personalities and quirks - I'd never call them weird, they're interesting. My beloved Abbey would sit on the tub ledge while I showered - she hated not being in the bathroom and not able to see me, so she'd climb aboard.
We do love our pets, don't we? I can't imagine my life without them!
