We have known each other for years but we aren't bored with each other. 
Is DU really that addicting? 
I use a desktop Mac, I can have a boatload of tabs open at the same time and I tend to have at least 6 open at all times...thus I bounce around all over the internet whenever I am on my 'puter. I've been coming to DU for about 11 months...and currently consider it my internet 'home base'. But that is always subject to change.
I think many of the people who have been coming here for years have formed strong bonds of friendship so leaving DU is rather like moving away from a home and neighborhood they have loved. I can appreciate the power of that attraction.
I'd say DU is more addictive than spinach and less addictive than chocolate!
