all sorts of birds singing around (the Summer Tanager just showed up a few days ago)....smells of lilacs and holly flowers wafting about. Filthy, dirty hands, sweaty, but satisfied with the accomplishments of digging in the dirt and dreaming of harvests to come.
so, the rumble turned into a reality - and the joy morphed into the fun of continuing to garden even though the rain is gently falling.
Happy Saturday, everyone. I am pretty easy to satisfy - today was a perfect day!

(2,964 posts)I have a part time home in rural Harnett county. It has been a while since I have been there to enjoy the spring plantings.
I live in northern Utah where we have just gotten out of the snow blanket. We had 100% fish kill in our lake because of the heavy blanket of snow on the ice. My Rose of Sharon is just budding out. Butterfly bushes & Russian Sage are struggling to bud. I miss the ease of blooming I experienced at my home in NC.
