over active thyroid. got medicine.
maybe we can get her to gain some weight.

but when I saw her going out of the cat box, I knew something else was wrong.
she's NEVER done that in the 17 years I've had her.

(6,132 posts)I've had two cats with overactive thyroid. They both got very, very skinny but ate like horses. I also know a few people with the same condition. It doesn't affect the way they feel, just the way they look. Both cats lived long, happy lives.

seem to be ok.....
she's so thin now, that if she doesn't put on some weight
she's just going to get sick from malnutrition.
the vet also said she could develop heart trouble if
this isn't treated.
she'll go back in a month...hopefully the
medicine will work.
