Name a company you dislike right now

Besides all the ones like Goldman Sachs, I'm really disliking Apple. The guy on the phone was very rude when I asked a question about if I could stream music from the iCloud to my new 16GB iPad since I run out of storage space. With Amazon you can do this easily through their cloud service. It feels like Apple has really taken their customers for granted. I think I will take my iPad back for the Kindle Fire.

They keep trying to auto renew an order. I've told them three times I DON"T WANT TO RENEW FOR ANOTHER YEAR.
I shut off the fricken auto renew but it went back to auto renew. They've tried to process the payment three times on an expired card number.

They want to play doctor again.

Problem is they always want to do what's best for them, not for me or my doctor.

SINGLE PAYER NOW! These companies don't care about our health, all they care about is the size of the revenue streams they control.

Corporate bullies.

They invade communities that have the water the company wants to buy. They will lie and do anything to get the water rights.

They used to send (and maybe they still do) women masquerading as nurses into third world hospitals, to sell formula to the impoverished new moms. They would tell these new moms that their formula was superior to any human milk, and the moms would take the free samples. Of course, they discovered that the formula was way expensive, so they would water it down to extend it. And by then, their own good milk was dried up...

Bastards.

I have to work with them professionally and they are always looking to squeeze, push or outright rip you off. When you talk to people in management they always come off like fully automated pod people.

If you want the epitome of a soulless, evil corporation look no further than Nestle. I'm aware of their record beyond my experience so it's probably not necessary to list what they've done in Africa with infant formulas and tube feeding for formulas for HIV patients.

The Students' Association had a boycott of their products when I was an undergraduate - back then, they were boycotted by most of the British Students' Unions (not sure if it's still the case).

Then they took tax breaks on the donation. Babies had died in this country, which is why the fromula had been recalled. This corporation is the very definition of evil in my book.

There was an Apple fan at my last place of employment. She was also our lead. I shared this with a co-worker, asking him if I should forward it to her. We both agreed that it would probably make her mad and/or destroy a little more of her self-worth. So, she never got to see it.

Maybe I should print it out and hang it in the next cubicle I get...

No, my career is pipeline mapping. Also, AutoCAD doesn't work on apple products, only PCs.

I do use a Wacom tablet here, and their products will work on any platform

I didn't create it. In fact, I think it's at least six years old.

I really don't care what computer you use or what OS. All that matters is what you produce with it. Every computer out there is nothing more than a tool. A user's talent is more important than the tool they choose to enable their creativity.

Where are my Star Rewards coupons?! I haven't received any since December! Do they think people can afford to shop there without coupons?

When I tried to explain that I haven't received any in ages, the rude clerk snatched my one day shopping pass (used) right out of my hand. I wish they still had their on-line evaluations.

I know, in the greater scheme of things, this is a mere petty annoyance. They are actually doing me a favor by keeping me out of there. Thank you, Macy's.

Bank of America?

When I moved to the East Coast I opened an account at a local branch. Three days after payday I check to see if my money is there. Not there. A few days later, still not there.

"Where's my money?"

"We put a hold on new accounts."

"But I've had an account with you for ten years and have never bounced a check or even had an overdraft."

"We don't have access to our West Coast computers."

"Is that right? Now you don't have access to my money. You're criminals."

"Anything else I can help you with?"

"No. Fuck you."

They put a five day hold ON THEIR OWN DAMNED CHECK!!!

Look, you, Citibank, this check WRITTEN BY Citibank.

Nope, they couldn't do it.

Our credit union granted us a $600 overdraft, NO FEES, NO PROBLEM, so we could get back home.

That was the last time I ever, of my own free will, did business with a mega-bank.

They are headquartered in Minnesota, and during the Al Franken election their CEO said that anyone who voted for Franken should be committed. I wrote them pointing out that there is a Lowe's and a Home Depot across the street from each other in my town, and I would never step into a Home Depot again, and I haven't.
I also refuse to shop at WalMart or eat Domino's pizza.

QFC had a terrific deal on those paper towels with the creepy lumberjack . . . Brawny. I didn't buy them. I paid a little more money, but kept that tiny bit of my self-respect.
