Back in the day when Fridays were fish Fridays (Catholic) fish sticks were very tasteful..now they are just flavored breading!

Usually cod, pollock or haddock. Also anything being marketed as pub-style "fish" (meaning like "fish & chips&quot or homemade.

The cheap ones never tell you what kind of fish because it's often mixed-fish-scrap "caked" together with bread, then breaded and fried.

100 percent Alaska pollock.

Maybe not the super best but better then a lot of the brands.

Fish sticks make for a quick easy meal.

I can't believe I had to turn the heat back on this week, but it was just getting too raw and cold.

This afternoon it finally started to warm up a little, to wearing two sweatshirts over a long sleeve tee while push mowing the lawn was one sweatshirt too many.

Gorton's of Gloucester. Just a tad south of me now; Gloucester (actually next door at Rockport) used to be a summer hangout for me.

Hated to turn on the ac, but the nights are cool enough yet.

I wish we still had cool weather.

Summer last from May, June, July, and August.

September is still warm but not so bad.

I always wanted to visit New England, sounds like a nice place.

and we didn't get good apples as a result.

The year before is the year I think we just skipped summer. Just had a reeeally long March and October came reeeeally earl

This year spring is a little more normal, although out of order. 6 weeks of drought instead of rain in April and early May. And now a week+ nonstop clouds, cold, raw and "showers" that have been deluges.

I like being near the ocean, but miss the rolling hills and open skies of Pennsylvania horse country.

I am only in Houston because I have a good job.

A few more years I can retire early if I wish.

I really hate Houston.

The Gulf has really be destroyed by BP and the oil spill a few years ago.

I wouldn't put my toe into the Gulf now.

You would like the Texas hill country, it has rolling type hills.

Now if it would really start to rain there regular.

Houston is getting a fair amount of rain, we have green grass.
