i miss the nighthawks

i usually don't get off work until after 11 and by the time i'm settled, it seems i'm the only one around and it gets awful lonely this late at night.

it's my friday, so i treated myself to a few beers at the dive and now i'm on the porch, indulging in my herbal refreshment, the cure coming in through the headphones,. it's like i'm 15 again, they're all i want to listen to.

it's a lovely night, mid-50s. no matter how hot it gets here, it always is lovely in the wee hours.

i have a few at my buddy's once a week, but other than that, i don't drink. so do be able to go out after work and have a few was a nice reward for busting my ass this week.

i am nice and blissed out, so i'm going to curl up and watch some old tng episodes.
