I started a new job a couple months ago and developed a crush on this co-worker. At first, I thought she might be interested, but I'm not so sure anymore. Anyway, I know she has some single friends and I'm thinking about asking her to set me up with one of them.
But, I'm worried that if I ask her to set me up, I'm essentially closing the door on dating her because she would think, "Oh, I guess he's not interested in me."
Do you think I would be shooting myself in the foot with her?

(3,995 posts)I wouldn't advise dating a co-worker or having her set you up. Either way, you still have to work with her when the relationship ends and then all the personal stuff becomes public at your place of employment. Keep those two areas of your life separate.
