'Ferris Bueller' Superbowl ad (long version)

Think you're a true fan of Ferris Bueller's Day Off? We hid over two dozen references to the movie throughout the commercial. Some are obvious, some are VERY subtle. See how many you can find.

Ferris: It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

From the movie:

Most of the license plates are all abbreviations for titles of films by John Hughes. Katie's = VCTN (National Lampoon's Vacation); Jeannie's = TBC (The Breakfast Club); Tom's = MMOM (Mr. Mom); Rooney's = 4FBDO (Ferris Bueller's Day Off). The exception is Cameron's Ferrari (seen when Ferris first pulls out of the garage), the license plate of which reads NRVOUS.

The cough at the start.

the "Oh Yeah" song by Yello.

Calling in sick.

"One of the worst performances of my career."

The agent holding a baseball.

Roeman (Froman?), Peterson and Frye on the talent agency door

"Broderick ... Broderick" instead of "Bueller ... Bueller"

Cheering in the stands at a racetrack instead of a Cubs game

The Natural History Museum instead of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Staring down a walrus, a tie-in to his movie quote, "I could be the walrus, I'd still have to bum rides off people."

Joining a parade and singing on a float in Chinatown instead of the German-American Von Steuben Day parade.

Dancing construction workers at the parade.

Almost caught while driving and only a quick seat changeover saves him.

The license plate, SOCHOIC (so choice).

The valet 'borrowing' the car.

"Life moves pretty fast."

Ferris' reappearing after the ad appears to be over.

'Grace' on the phone call.

The red phone.

Guy in Bueller's leopard print vest at the museum.

Towel around his head.

The clarinet.

Pineapple drink at 1:38

White rabbitt's foot hanging from his key chain.

Cameron's Red Wings jersey behind Broderick in the roller-coaster.

White out on the desk.

Rottweiler at :37.

Guy wearing Rooney's flip-up sungalsses at the race track.

Flower delivery guy walking in front of the car.

A-1 City OK Park sign at 1:59.

"Sometimes you got to live a little."

"Calm yourself" to the little girl. He would always tell Frye to relax throughout the movie.

Ferris' reappearing after the ad appears to be over.

BTW, there's a new one up. The original played twice with Broderick voice-over on the second.

Basically trying to defuse the Internet uproar that it's not a trailer for a sequel.

The restaurant at the end is Chez Neuf. Neuf is French for 9, as in the number of Bueller's absences pronounced so succinctly by Rooney in the movie.

In the movie: the French restaurant Bueller crashes is "Chez Quis" which is a pun, as said aloud it would be "Shakeys", the pizza chain. "Chez Qui" means 'to whom' in French.

I thought he was a spoiled obnoxious rich kid.

No offense. Opinions of movies are subjective
