I went inside to get them an apple, and CJ (Chick Jagger) came in with me and helped finish up the sweeping. The cats were oblivious.

Mind you, it's neighborhood, but a mix of apartment buildings and businesses and big Victorians that I wish I could afford. But the streets are very busy. The girls had inhabited a roundabout and gotten kind of pinned down. People were trying to marshall a roundup so I expect they got home but it was a sight!

We have to plug one more gap to keep them from terrorizing the neighbor's landscaping.

We're in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Here's some of the other critters we feed here at Brokeass Mountain Farm:
