Have any of you reconnected with an old love on a social site and wish you hadn't?

I reconnected with my high school sweetheart last year and remembered very quickly why I broke it off after a couple of years. He was always very full of himself and money and "stuff" topped his list. He has not changed, only gotten much worse. He became very successful and wealthy and in his posts he goes on and on about his mansion and other luxuries, including trophy girlfriends many years younger.

I don't have any regrets, believe me; if anything I feel very lucky that I didn't end up marrying this man as we had discussed a few times during our relationship. It's just that as the years went by and I hadn't seen or heard anything of him until social networking exploded into all of our living rooms, I had forgotten the bad times and pretty much remembered him fondly.

Oh well... live and learn.
