(21,691 posts)They're naturally curious and friendly creatures, and they love food. My chickens had spilled some sunflower seeds where I was, and the skunks were eating them. I feed them, so they're used to me.
Here's three of them:

(23,226 posts)I once had a family of four of them (Mom, 3 kits) walk over the toe of my boots in the woods. Winter-time, I'm out looking for a calf, and I see them strolling along, totally oblivious to my presence. Recalling the above rule, I stopped walking to let them go by, and they took a slight turn toward me. I didn't dare move, of course. All four of them walked over my toes and kept on going, like I was just a bump in the path. made my day!

Cool shots. It was too cloudy here to see anything but the muted glow behind the clouds.

(19,373 posts)I was working late on Monday over in Oakland and when I finally got out to see the moon it was just like your photos. Unfortunately by the time I got home to grab my camera the clouds thickened up and no go for a good shot. Glad you got some! They're great!
