Chicken Run in MD - A DU MeetUp?
So, uh, I blame Aerows for this one. He started talking about Chicken, and now, I think it needs to be done.
Then LiberalEsto just because, it finally made me type up that idea.
Details need to be worked out, but my outline is as follows:
Date = Saturday, September 7, 2013
Location = WinterGreen Plaza -- There is a Starbucks and Ten Ren Tea place.
Time = 2:00 PM for MeetUp, we roll out at 2:30 PM

I can drive 3-4 people in my car just in case.
Depending on how many people are coming, some places we will call to order out. I hope you guys don't mind eating in the car for some of these. Should make the orders small enough that we'd have to share, since there will be a bunch of places.
1st Stop = Rockville : BonChon : Take Out Wings and Drumsticks. We'll call the order and pick up around 2:45.
2nd Stop = Wheaton : Piyo Piyo Peruvian Chicken : We'll probably all have to get down to order
3rd Stop = Silver Spring : African Chicken : We'll probably order take out on this one too
4th Stop = New Carrolton : King Pollo : A suggestion of RavensChick, I am not sure if I've been here or not.
5th Stop = Columbia : Simmie's Wings and Subs : Take out chicken wings with mambo sauce.
6th Stop = Damascus : Red Rooster : 2 piece meals would be great, though it makes a lot more sense to just get a bucket with coleslaw.
If I am not mistaken, that should be a nice semi-circular route that would bring us back towards the Gaithersburg/Rockville area again.
We also have to order small since that is 6 places to go to. By the time we're done, we'd be full no matter what.
Most of this should just be take out since we'd be too much of a nuisance being inside all of these small places where some of them don't have capacity for more than 5 people at a time.
It is just a thought. It might not even happen. I am just putting this out there.
I definitely can't do this weekend since I have a funeral to go to, and next week, I am doing a clam bake (September 1), so the 7th is the earliest I can think of doing this.
In fact, I don't even have to be there if someone else in MD wants to do this.
