Full length compression sock, all the way up to the hip. It's uncomfortable, it reminds me of Joe Namath in that commercial, I hate it, and I have to do this for two weeks.

(34,108 posts)put your foot in really good then roll them up your leg? Still difficult but not as difficult as pulling them on like a sock.

(6,581 posts)That and the aid of the boat winch seems to do the trick.
That was information I used to give all my heart patients since back then all the bypasses were done with the saphenous vein from one of their legs so they all had to use these stockings well after they left the hospital.
A boat winch? LOL whatever works

(6,581 posts)Not like they cracked my chest open, it was just ablation of said saphenous veins, one little incision point. I just like to whine.

I whine, therefor, I am.
I DO understand that's a difficult pain, and moreso, probably, for those who never expected to have to do it. And NOW, even my daughters don't!!!
