Bamboo that's gone my ass. Bamboo grows like, well, bamboo. And if existence has to be justified, humanity is scrod.

Have you ever had to get rid of bamboo? Chop it off, it grows back overnight. So you chop it off and burn the ends, it grows back overnight. You try to split the roots, so now it's spreading. You try to remove the roots, you can't get all of them and now it's really spreading. You salt the roots, it grows faster! You relent and do what you really didn't want to do and resort to herbicide, you wake up to discover it has taken over your backyard, invaded your bedroom and written you a note:

Dear Chan, you think you can defeat us? F**k you. We beat Agent Orange and napalm...it's in our sap. What makes you think industrial-grade herbicides are going to touch us? -Bamboo, we are legion.

How bamboo has not taken over the entire Earth as an invasive species is beyond me.

We made EVERYTHING from that shit. Lined raptor cages so they wouldn't fly into the wire, cage carriers, substitute bars for the little guys, had furniture making contests. Never made a dent in that patch.
