Sending money via Paypal -- how does it work on the recipient's end.

The sender's end is easy, click click click.

How does the recipient claim the funds. I kinda couldn't figure that part out. The Paypal site only says they need an e-mail. How do they redeem it, especially if they need to use it in real life, not for online purchases?

Advise, please, I would like to do this for someone.

I took mine off due to problems with them however.
I am going to shift it to a bank that doesn't have much funds instead.

If that is still available. It allows you to access the funds like a debit card.
I don't know if that feature is still there though.

But it's only good at very limited places, most don't take it. Home depot accepts it, that's the only place I've used it so far. You can check here for places that take it: https://www.paypal-promo.com/anywhere/desktop/

I see dollar general and JC Penny take it, and some mall stores I never go to.

We could just transfer the funds into our bank account but I'm too lazy to deal with that. (I'm sure it would take all of 2 minutes from the comfort of my couch.)

If both of you have major bank accounts, you can just do an e-transfer through e-mail.

You don't even have to know their bank, or their bank account number.

They can deposit it wherever they want.

Check your bank on-line, and set up e-transfer capabilities.

Then just direct the $$ transfer to their e-mail as the recipient.

It's a bit of a chore to set up the capability, but if you have any problems with it, just contact your bank.

Once it's set up, it's awful handy.

OR

You could use the old system,

send them a money order!

They get an email that allows them to transfer the money to an existing account or they can spend it.

Is, as long as the have their account verified using there bank account or, like when my card finally comes in, a Paypal Debit card, the money can get transfer to the card or account.

They will have to have it verified before they can pull it though. Apparently it just sets there till they have the verification.
