I ended up telling her today when I asked her if my last pay check was going to the store or is mailed. And what date did I need to turn in my shirts.
He needed to tell her Monday. She was already making schedules for after the 14th.

(6,154 posts)One of the reasons I didn't end up taking a management position when things were good is I didn't want to have to deal with all those last minute emergencies. It's your boss' fault not yours as you point out. I remember hearing all kinds of horror stories about emergencies created by schedule issues. You don't survive in that world as a manager unless you learn to expect the unexpected and shrug it off. If she blew up about it then she's in he wrong field.

(14,120 posts)She is District and he is the Store GM and she has to come in all the time to clean stuff up. She is just getting tiered of cleaning up the mess and all the things that he has not told her.
But not my problem.

(6,154 posts)But because in convenience stores and retail in general it can be hard to find people they often keep people who don't work well. I can remember more than a few people at 7-11 who were kept LONG after they should have been let go or fired just cause they needed a warm body holding the position. So long as they didn't burn the store down or steal outright they kept their jobs. Of course in the long run they always managed to weed them out but it meant you had to work with people who didn't pull their weight for far too long.
BTW: It sounds like you are close to your goal and getting back to Tuscon. Congrats that will be a day to celebrate

(14,120 posts)Thanks to this job, my family will be all pain up....as long as they don't tack on anything else.
Thanks to OneGrassRoot helping me set up something on Wishadoo, I will (I hope) have a little money to help with necessities.
