ambiguous

Ai Mei~ Rainie Yang

English:
More than Friends*
Being more than friends puts people in a hard spot emotionally**
Can't find the evidence of loving each other
When to move forward
When to give up
Don't even have the courage to hug

Can only accompany you till here
After all, some things we can't
More than friendship
Not yet at romance
A rainy scene is looming in the distance

Is it appropriate to cry?
Is it me or you who thinks too much?
I'm very unwilling [to be in this position]
And starting to doubt
Is it the same real you in front of my eyes?

Being more than friends puts people in a hard spot emotionally**
Can't find the evidence of loving each other
When to move forward, when to give up
Don't even have the courage to hug

Being more than friends makes people become greedy
Until waiting loses its meaning
Helpless that me and you can't write an ending for us
The beauty tinged with regret stops here

Author's comment:
* "Ai Mei" is hard to translate... a dictionary translation is "ambiguous", but it refers to the gray zone between friendship and romance.
** "Wei Qu" is also hard to translate... it describes a state where you feel you have to lower yourself/settle for less than you're comfortable with/swallow your pride, for the sake of someone else.
