My dog's injury:

Kinsey has a badly strained hip. The vet gave her a shot, and she has some pills.

Kinsey thinks she is still a puppy, but she is eight years old. She will have to be more careful chasing squirrels on the trail. She is getting on in dog years.

We are relieved.

Was she jumping up to try to go up the tree after the squirrel, or did you not see the extra-strenuous activity that strained her hip?

¡Sorry that Kinsey slid down a hill! Dogs usually want to feel normal ASAP, and know that moving a little more, and more easily, each day is better than total bed rest .

My vizsla mix is 8 and he hobbles around a bit. He thinks he's 8 months old, though.
