Just got this email.........

What should I do, my dear Loungers???

Dear,
I have a need, which finding solution to it has kept me awake even when i am supposed to be asleep.I even find it more difficult because i do not know you beyond the much that you are a professional and a reliable man.
I am Mr Christopher A Anan from Liberia and i am presently in Accra,Ghana.I need your assistance to reposition funds in a depository for investment.I have in my grip the certificate of deposit of a reserve net of us$7 million and 150kg gold dust secured at the deposit vault of Ritz De La Rule in Accra,Ghana.
The nature of the deposit is such that i need to make necessary provisions to establish your participation as investment adviser / partner to retrieve this bequeath in 2(two) trunk boxes.
This confidential collaboration is what my spirit has illuminated me to seek you for the needed assistance to deliver unambiguously, given the necessary mandate.
For your assistance and participation in the reposition of investment on trust,we shall offer you 30% of total sum and 30% in investment profit.I am looking forward to hear or read from you, while thanking you for your anticipated co-operation.
Yours Sincerely,
XXXX

It originated in Burkina Faso, IIRC. In some of these scams, they try to get Americans to fly to Nigeria or whichever country they're operating in. So this guy was trying to get me to fly to Burkina Faso, and I strung him along for about two weeks, kept telling him there were flight delays, etc., and finally had him (or some associate) waiting for me at a train station at three in the morning local time. It was hilarious.

Send it as spam. NSA would not know the intended receivers even if they could decode the message.

and that you, as executor of the multi-million dollar estate regret that you simply will not have time to address any issues concerning foreign banks for the next three or four weeks, as you are currently too busy arranging the auction of various Picasso and Matisse sculptures, several dozen vintage automobiles, and real estate in Malibu, Telluride, and Waikiki

I don't think I have ever gotten a scam email that didn't have tells (although yours is a champ!). I guess they send so many they don't care. Fishing with a big enough net will get you fish. And, sad to say, some people are stunningly dumb.

They start on the first of the month and end on the 31st.

Tell me something, pls: how does your standard freeper's hatred of panhandlers square with the fact the site on which his bile is transmitted is run by one?

got a similar email. He led the individual on for about 6 months. One email after another, thinking he was getting close, only to be put off by my friend time and time again, for one legitimate reason or another.
Until the buddy, when he said he would finally provide the emailer what was wanted, went OFF in the email.
Telling the person HOW does it feel when it happens to you? IF you haven't figured it out by now I led you down the merry path for 6 months wasting your time. And now you have nothing, just like the poor people who FALL for your scam.
