... "The Dr Demento Show" -- onair for about 30+ years and focusing on novelty music. Best
known success is a 16-year-old kid who kept sending cassette tapes of his funny songs in to
the Doctor -- Weird Al Yankovic.
.
He's still broadcasting paid streaming shows online at www.drdemento.com . Look at his
playlists for examples of current novelty tunes (though he still plays lots of classics).
.
Biggest ones I can think of recently are The Flight of the Conchords out of New Zealand.

I had a novelty music show on Tucson radio a little over 10 years ago and was really
up on contemporary novelty acts and musicians, but I've lost track. I've just discovered
"Ylvis" from Norway and Tim Minchin from Australia.
.
Even Weird Al is still recording and touring, winding up a two-year, 135-date tour next
month.
