one car down, one to go

the front end suspension on the one volvo basically needs rebuilt, $175 for parts and a good dinner is all it's going to cost me as my dad and husband can do the work themselves. i don't even want to know how much it would have cost if i'd taken it into the shop.

if you have a volvo, i highly recommend ipd for parts, they price matched the struts and have excellent customer service.

now to get the second volvo towed to dad's so we can figure out why it starts and then dies. we're pushing it as far as weather goes, but both should be good to go before the first snow flies.

and, understandably, dad said he wouldn't do it once it turns cold. still have a few things to check out before we're fully ready for winter, like seeing if we need new tires for the primary volvo and hopefully figuring out why the damn thing won't start in the cold.

i am now fully understanding how much it costs to have cars and it's one of those moments when being an adult sucks.

I love my tracker but it's getting old. I want a second used car to give it a bit of a break from the long drives. On the other hand, if I park it too long I might start having problems. I had the AC and brakes fixed this summer. I'll need tires before long. It's a never ending battle.
