Nervous about what to tell them at the exit interview.

They will ask me why I am living. I don't want to say because I can't stand my family. What should I say. I was thinking something like "Unfinished Business in Tucson".

It is true, I never got the set up my little home like I wanted.

just say that you are looking forward to returning to your home in Arizona. Why Arizona? For the weather. Anyone in Joplin will understand that. You don't owe anyone any details and keeping it upbeat means that if you use them for a reference they won't be speculating about your personal life to your detriment.

you are not just thinking about it.

"I have made the decision to move back to Tucson. It is my home now, and I am more homesick than I ever imagined."

It is not as though they really pay any attention to them or use the information to improve conditions..

They have a problem with the manager of this store and the District Manger is compiling information to handle the problem.

By the District Manager herself.

See, I was marked for assistant manager. But I got sick of my family and then I realized that the manager had issues with me ( or anyone) that was in a trailer park. Anyone with a EBT card is a big issues with him.

It was supposed to happen today, but due to a robbery at another store, she was tied up. She is coming on Wednesday.

I doubt they really care about why you are leaving. All you have to say is you plan to return home.

Then scoot! As fast as you can!

Do not let the parting grieve thee,
And remember that the best of friends must part, must part
Adieu, adieu, kind friends adieu, adieu, adieu,
I can no longer stay with you, stay with you,
I'll hang my harp on a weeping willow tree,
And may the world go well with thee.

and leave it at that. If you want to tell the District Manager about the guy who has issues with you, that might save someone else trouble down the line, but you don't owe anyone any explanations.

Also, if it applies, make sure there is someone there who will give you job references when you get to Arizona. If your manager who has a problem with you is the only one that might do that, I would bite the bullet and not say anything about him in the exit interview.

So enjoying your happy posts as you plan your move. I'm glad things are working out for you.

In the exit interview, companies are looking to see if they did anything to make you want to leave. They don't care about personal issues.
