I am thinking my ex may have known this guy. And yes I am friends with my crazy ass GA ex. AND one of his ex wives.

And ypu're right about those grudges being heavy burdens. I can't exactly say we've remained friends, but my ex and I can have a conversation and I genuinely like his current wife. It's makes family gatherings a lot more pleasant and the kids don't have to decide who to invite, dad or mom.
