Has anybody else watched the Pilot of Sleepy Hollow? I was not sure if I wanted to watch it because I am actually trying to cut back on watching TV but I just watched the Pilot on demand. It was pretty good. I think that I will continue to watch it. It is a little more Sci-fi/Fantasy then a lot of shows and I like Sci-fi/Fantasy types of shows. Since the Scifi channel became the Syfy Channel it does not offer as much Sci-fi shows as it used to.

(20,176 posts)I can't decide if it was really good or a little too campy for me. I'm giving it another two weeks before I decide if it goes in my Hulu queue.

(12,325 posts)it seem Crane wasn't too affected by being in THE FUCKING 21ST CENTURY.
Campy for sure.

(6,336 posts)I grew up just outside of Sleepy Hollow and heard the story a lot earlier than most did.
In 5th grade, my girl scout troop did gravestone rubbing in the cemetery where they're all buried.

(10,952 posts)Sleepy Hollow. In the show, the headless horseman is one of the 4 horses of the Apocalypse. If he can find his head, the other 3 will join him and the end will come. Even if is is campy it is still better then all the reality shows out there. Crane might not have been continually freaked out about finding himself in the 21st Century but the character also understands that there are a lot of things that are not easily understood. Throughout the first episode he had a lot of flashbacks that helped him to piece things together what happened to him in the past (together with some dreams with his dead wife who adds some explanations to what has happened).
Campy or not, I am going to continue watching it.

(14,400 posts)this show seems to be postulating that the Headless Horseman is actually one of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse and Ichabod Crane is destined to fight him and whatever comes.
It's really kind of cheesy and the suspension of disbelief is out of this world but it's kind of fun.

(2,015 posts)so I could see if I liked it before setting it to record the whole series. I will be setting the DVR to record the series this week.
It's a far cry from the original Sleepy Hollow story, since when is Ichabod Crane a hot guy instead of a skinny geek?, but I really liked it.
