Constant reminders that such simple things can be such a wonderful thrill. A few nights ago I took the dog out in the pouring rain for our walk, and instead of being soaked, cold and irritated, we both had a blast tramping through the mud, stomping in puddles and slapping at fish in the river (ok, quite large creek)... so I ended up being soaked, muddy and sweaty, but I laughed a whole lot, and it's a toss up between which of us had more fun.

I say that because he was having fun for himself and thrilled that you were having fun too. It was doubly good for the dog!

Well, I suppose that goes both ways, doesn't it?

What a cush life that cutie has...huge pile of leaves, a massive yard to run around in, and an owner that doesn't care that pup is causing more raking!! All dogs should be that lucky...as mine are snoozing on the sofa - the boxer is under the blanket with her head on a pillow...

I chuckled all the way through it. What a lucky dog to have such a big back yard.

We had originally gotten a malamute when we were living in Texas, and the first time he saw snow when we moved to Colorado it was pretty much the best thing he could have imagined. Then when we got the husky, they would play for hours in the snow. Their little brother, an austrailian cattle dog, never was quite the fan they were.

I remember one year we had a blizzard drop 60 inches of snow and I was throwing the two big dogs off the deck out into the yard. They would come bounding back and have me do it again.

A lot of leaves - the best things before Snow I suspect How great for the dog.
