I was carded at Maine's Common Ground Fair on Sunday!

They tried to make me take the over 65 discount. But I'm not even 60 yet!!!! WAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!

It's been decades since I've been carded, sigh.

Other than that, it was a lovely afternoon. The rain stopped shortly after I arrived, so along with the scything lecture, demo and instruction, I got to watch 6 border collies working a combination of sheep, goats, geese and humans. And draft horses in the log twitching contest.

Although I chose the walk through the woods, they had 3 shuttles from the parking lot. An annoying, loud, smelly and polluting tractor pulling a wagon was picking up when I arrived. Later, I saw the quiet, peaceful and beautiful pair of haflilngers pulling a covered wagon. And a quiet, peaceful and adorable pair of mules pulling an open-top wagon.

I'm 33 years old. I was thinking how young do I look, I mean I know I look young for my age...but 25 young, not 17.

It is when I get in to a nice little chat with the young female employee selling me the ticket.
Sadly, they are too young for me.

When I was in ninth grade, I got pushed around a lot by other ninth-graders who thought I was in seventh grade, and should have been in "their hall."

Sometimes youthful was good, though.

But I started going bald at age 24, so youthful face or not, nobody every mistook me for younger than I am after that...

I'm not even 60 yet and they assumed I was over 65.

I remember when I looked 10 years younger than my actual age. This is the first time I've been called out for looking 5+ years older than my actual age.

It's the other side of carding, sigh...

Yes, 33. I think there is a typo somewhere in my files.

They sent them for a couple years, then gave it up so apparently the typo in some file somewhere got fixed. They started up again after I turned 50...

I was carded at a convenience market to buy beer, then offered a senior discount at a Burger King. I think I was in my late 40s when it happened.
