Stuck in a hotel room awaiting the start of a medical conference. How is everyone tonight?

My hotel room has TV, like every other hotel room in the world. But how 20th Century is that?

500 channels and nothing's on.

I brought my iPod Home with me, and it's currently pumping out Mozart's Greatest Hits.

Who wants to hang out? I'm going to go for some dinner later, but I could use some company. If you're not ashamed to post in a thread as transparently needy as this one...

I went to the gym after a stress day at work. I worked out for two hours so I'm kind of tired. I'm trying to find something mindless and fun to watch before i go to bed. I should probably eat some dinner too.

4. Traffic was horrible tonight.

I drive for my living, so tonight was exceptionally awful. We need a ripping-my-hair-out smiley.

I'm beat. Tomorrow promises to be worse, because a large storm is forecast to move into the area. Gotta go get some sleep.

5. I'm sitting in my truck's sleeper at the Flying J truck stop in Ripon, CA.

doing a 34 hour restart for my log book. Got satellite tv in my truck, internet, and plenty of restaurants around.
Not a bad way to spend 34 hours.

I had to get up at 7am and stayed up until about 4 am.

I am drinking beer and won't go to bed until the early morning.

I am getting into Breaking Bad.

I got a burger to go with some fries. I drank a pint of hard cider while I was waiting for my food. I brought it back to my room. Wasn't interested in bar-company...

I haven't stayed in a hotel alone in a long time; I know what you mean about bar-company. Sometimes it's ok, but more fun with a group, imo. Nowadays, we always have the kids along, so we end up hanging around the pool a while, then lights-out pretty early.
