You Won't Believe How This Kitten Was Rescued (VIDEO)

This kitty was certainly in the wrong place but luckily, it was the right time. Southern California resident Paula Tiberius noticed a mama cat moving her kittens along her fence. Paula figured the mother was looking for a more secure, sheltered home. Out of curiosity, Paula ventured into her unlocked shed where sure enough she found a small kitten looking back up at her. Paula didn't pick up the kitten right away knowing his mama would be looking for him.

Soon after the discovery in the shed, Paula and her family heard a mournful mewing every night. It sounded as though a kitten had made its way into the attic. After another restless night, Paula decided to brave the attic and find the kitten. On her hands and knees, she crawled around unable to find the source of the woeful cries.

About 25 years ago we were having drywall work in the master bedroom of our fixer-upper house. Later that evening after we searched the house high and low for the more shy one of our two kitties we heard a faint meow that we couldn't pinpoint in our bedroom. My husband finally determined that Pidgie must have gotten walled in next to the fireplace. We ended up having to get a box cutter to make an exit point for the poor kitty. Thankfully she was none the worse for wear.

Not long after we'd built our first barn on the farm, we found a stray cat and adopted her as our barn kitty. She had kittens in the loft - we didn't worry about it, but one night while the vet was treating a foal on an emergency basis we had to work in the tack room for light.

As we worked, we heard a plaintive "meow" and realized one of the kittens had fallen into one of the walls. The vet's assistant used their stethoscope to locate where the kitten was and we pried the exterior grade paneling loose to extract the little guy.

Fortunately, since we were right there and got him out immediately, he was not injured at all. The next day we went back and put blocks in above all the walls to prevent any creatures from getting into the walls!
