I got a mermaid!

I don't who in here mentioned Red Rose tea and that they put a small figurine in each 100 count box but THANK YOU!

The tea is lovely and the figurines are exactly perfect for my two betta tanks - not too big and adorable. I already have the conch shell from the last box and now, betta #2 gets a wee decoration. Yay!

I have lots and lots of the figurines. They are actually match strikers for the 'strike anywhere' wooden kitchen matches. There is a roughened striking surface on the bottom of each one. They are made by Wade I do believe.

Another use! Even cooler!

I feel like such a nitwit for not having heard of that tea and those little figurines for all these years.

I first ran across it in the early 80s when I moved to Danbury, Connecticut. We couldn't find it easily here in eastern NC until about 7 years ago when Super Walmart and Food Lion started stocking it. If not for the move for work....I would still be using Tetly for iced and Earl Grey for hot.
