Whenever someone tells me they have three beautiful children or grandchildren, why am I always the only one to ask them how many ugly ones they have? Well, it's important information. It never seems to be appreciated either.
Why is that?

(149,615 posts)They mean ALL their children or grandchildren are beautiful.
Your question strikes me as being unkind.

(35,669 posts)beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if you love someone, they're beautiful. Period. End of story.

35 BEAUTIFUL LADIES
...and 3 ugly ones...
I always thought that was mean but my wife would never let me go in and console the 3.

(19,288 posts)You know, I'm pretty sure, I have misread your name in the past as original-Greek. I think I even told my long Greek story. And no wonder it was ignored.
I'm sorry.

(12,132 posts)The only thing Greek about me is a love for Gyros and dolmadas and that layery thing with the pastry and honey and nuts. And the layery thing with the cheese and spinach. And pita. And grilled pita with melted feta cheese. Oh and that chicken soup with the lemon and rice. ANd Lentils! And Moussaka!
good lord I am starving...

Baklava.
Or Balaclava.
I always get them confused.
Anyway, I don't even like honey all that much, but those things are awesome.

(12,132 posts)I'm surprised by how much I like honey.
In between times I seem to forget.
But those things are the best by far.

(34,582 posts)please. Seriously, with the way these "adult" women behave, I would gladly boot them out of my life if it weren't for the grandchildren. In fact, if it weren't for worrying about the grandchildren I would have returned to Ohio years ago.
